Tyrepower Hamilton are number one.

Challenge Naylor St Auto (Tyrepower Hamilton) was recently voted by readers of the Waikato Times as the number one service station in the Waikato and Thames Valley.
Simon and Tanya Bratton have owned the site in residential Hillcrest, Hamilton since 1996, changing the brand to Challenge in 2000, and for them it is a triumph of local ownership.
“We just want to say a big thanks to all the people who have chosen the Challenge experience,” says Simon. “Our customers have recognised they have a choice and in many cases we know people have gone out of their way to support our locally owned and operated business.”
The Brattons, who live nearby, have always had a strong focus on their community, with Tanya helping out at the kindergarten and primary school that their children attend.
Simon believes the recent Kiwi As campaign for Challenge has highlighted the fact that there is a local alternative in service stations available to New Zealanders, and he is quick to point out that choosing Kiwi doesn’t mean making sacrifices.
“It’s great that Challenge Cambridge was also one of the three finalists in the Waikato Times awards, and two out of three says something,” he says. “It sure looks like we’re on the right track, and we’ll continue to develop a customer focused experience.”
Whangarei Tyrepower is
the wheel deal

Whangarei Tyrepower was awarded the title of national dealer of the year at Tyrepower's National conference. The Whangarei tyre company also received its five-year service award. In presenting the award, Tyrepower's Australian president Brian Smith commented on the steady growth of the business in what has been a difficult trading year for many companies. Business owner Shane Fraser says it was particularly gratifying to receive the recognition in view of the serious fire earlier in the year that disrupted the business and made it difficult to maintain the high standard of service the company aims for.
Tyrepower Porsche GT3
racing support

Our newest member, John Osborne at Wairakei Rd Tyrepower, supported a Porsche driven by Hugh Gardiner in the 09-2010 GT3 race series in New Zealand. John considered Tyrepower presence on the Porsche would not only have a positive impact for Tyrepower branding and image (3 of the 6 rounds were in the South Island) but would also help in supporting his new store in Christchurch, the biggest market in South Island.
The final results after the March round in Taupo saw Hugh again the winner of the 996 Cup category.

The new site features many extras including behind-the-scenes quoting, WOF and tyre check up reminders. more emphasis on local Tyrepower stores and more information on Tyrepower and also on general tyre care. Russell Dye of Icon Advertising says their approach to website design is quite different to many other companies; "We focus on communicating clearly with the reader as opposed to simply putting code together. The end result should be an extension of the company's marketing message and should be seen as part of an overall strategy, not a standalone exercise". Icon are the driving force behind the Vodafone Warriors website which attracts 40,000 hits a month. For more information visit www.iconadvertising.co.nz
