Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 SUV

Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 SUV
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 SUV is a premium ultra-high performance summer tyre purpose-built for sporty SUVs, luxury crossovers, and performance 4WDs that deserve something better than a standard SUV tyre. Sharing the award-winning Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 platform — 2025 AutoBild Test Winner — but specifically engineered for the higher load ratings, larger footprints, and dynamic demands of the modern SUV, the Asymmetric 6 SUV delivers exceptional wet and dry performance through Goodyear’s Dry Contact Plus and Wet Braking Pro technologies. With OEM fitment credentials across models including the Porsche Macan, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X3, X4, X5, and X6, it’s the tyre that matches the premium nature and performance credentials of today’s best performance SUVs.

Features and Benefits

  • Dry Contact Plus technology for superior dry handling: An adaptive contact patch combined with an optimised tread cavity increases the tyre’s effective contact area on dry roads, delivering improved grip, reactivity, and handling precision — keeping the SUV feeling sharp, agile, and connected to the road in all dry conditions.
  • Wet Braking Pro technology for confident wet performance: An innovative resin-enhanced compound increases micro-contact between the tyre and wet road surfaces, delivering better grip and significantly shorter braking distances in damp and wet conditions — a meaningful safety benefit for heavy SUVs where wet stopping distances are a critical safety consideration.
  • Asymmetric tread pattern for quick response and cornering traction: The asymmetric tread layout provides quick steering response and maximum cornering traction — with the outer section optimised for dry grip and lateral stability, and the inner section focused on water evacuation and wet weather safety.
  • Adaptive tread compound for consistent performance: A flexible compound engineered to maintain tyre pliability across varying temperatures maximises rubber-to-road contact at all times, delivering consistent grip, braking confidence, and handling stability in the variable conditions New Zealand SUV drivers encounter year-round.
  • High load rating for SUV demands: Engineered specifically for the higher weights and load requirements of modern SUVs and crossovers, providing the structural strength and load-carrying capacity that SUV applications demand without compromising handling or ride quality.
  • Low rolling resistance for improved efficiency: Optimised compound and construction reduce rolling resistance to improve fuel efficiency — particularly relevant for large, heavier SUVs where rolling resistance has a meaningful impact on fuel consumption and, for electric SUVs, driving range.
  • EV ready: Engineered to handle the increased weight and instant torque delivery of electric and plug-in hybrid SUVs, with compound and construction characteristics that support improved range and manage the unique demands of EV drivetrains.
  • SoundComfort technology (select fitments): An acoustic foam layer minimises road noise resonance for a noticeably quieter, more refined cabin experience — matching the premium interior comfort expected from luxury SUVs and crossovers.
  • SealTech puncture sealing technology (select fitments): An internal sealant layer automatically seals tread punctures up to 5mm, allowing continued driving after a minor puncture — valuable peace of mind for SUV drivers who may not carry a spare.
  • OEM fitment on leading premium SUVs: Chosen as original equipment on the Porsche Macan, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X3, X4, X5, and X6, confirming the Asymmetric 6 SUV meets the exacting performance standards of the world’s most demanding premium SUV manufacturers.

In order for us to give you an accurate quote it is handy to have your tyre size to hand. The easiest way to find this is to look on the sidewall of your existing tyre, where you will see a combination of numbers and letters.

Width: (this is the first set of numbers) and represents the width of the tyre sidewall in Millimetres.

Profile: This is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width of the tyre

Rim: This is the diameter of the inner rim in inches

When looking for your tyre size note down the size of both the front and rear tyres as many cars have been developed with two different sizes.
