Maxxis Bighorn MU09B — Front

MU09B
The Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 MU09B is the front tyre of the next-generation Bighorn 2.0 — the lightweight evolution of one of the most celebrated names in ATV and UTV history. Taking everything that generations of ATV drivers loved about the original Bighorn and making it lighter, more agile, more responsive, and more stable, the Bighorn 2.0 MU09B delivers the precise steering control, confident braking, and reliable traction that front axle performance demands — while the radial construction soaks up the rough stuff for a smoother, more composed ride. Chosen by off-road racing champions Hunter Miller and Kyle Chaney, and trusted as original equipment by Can-Am, Arctic Cat, and John Deere, the MU09B is the front tyre that sets the Bighorn 2.0 apart from the competition.

Features and Benefits

  • Built on the legendary Bighorn platform — lighter and better: The Bighorn 2.0 retains all the remarkable durability and traction of the original Bighorn while shedding significant weight — making it more agile, more responsive, and more stable at the front axle where steering precision and braking control matter most.
  • Purpose-configured front tyre tread layout: The tread geometry is specifically optimised for front axle applications — delivering precise steering response, accurate straight-line tracking, and confident braking performance across the full range of all-terrain conditions the Bighorn 2.0 is designed for.
  • Lightweight design for faster steering response and braking: Reduced rotational mass at the front end means quicker, more accurate steering response and improved braking efficiency — keeping the front end agile and reactive to rider inputs on the trail and track.
  • Radial construction for a velvety smooth ride: The radial casing absorbs rocks, bumps, and rough terrain as the tyre rolls, delivering a noticeably smoother and more controlled ride than bias-ply alternatives — particularly appreciated on longer trail rides and cross-country runs.
  • Non-directional tread pattern for predictable cornering and climbing confidence: The non-directional lug layout provides consistent, predictable front-end cornering behaviour in all directions — and claws confidently over roots and rocks for optimum climbing confidence on steep or technical terrain.
  • Slimmer lugs for improved front-end grip and manoeuvrability: Redesigned slimmer lugs maintain the aggressive Bighorn tread character while delivering improved steering precision and front-end turn-in response — a genuine evolution of the original that adds refinement without sacrificing bite.
  • High void ratio with self-cleaning tread design: Wide spacing between tread elements actively ejects mud, snow, and rocks from the front contact patch, maintaining consistent steering traction and control across rapidly changing terrain conditions.
  • 6-ply radial construction for strength and durability: A robust 6-ply radial casing delivers the structural strength and shape retention that Bighorn owners have always expected — maintaining the tyre’s optimal footprint under load and driving pressure for consistent front-end performance across the full service life.
  • Pairs with MU10B rear for a matched Bighorn 2.0 set: Designed as a matched combination with the Bighorn 2.0 MU10B rear, delivering a cohesive, balanced front-to-rear performance package across all terrain types and conditions.

In order for us to give you an accurate quote it is handy to have your tyre size to hand. The easiest way to find this is to look on the sidewall of your existing tyre, where you will see a combination of numbers and letters.

Width: (this is the first set of numbers) and represents the width of the tyre sidewall in Millimetres.

Profile: This is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width of the tyre

Rim: This is the diameter of the inner rim in inches

When looking for your tyre size note down the size of both the front and rear tyres as many cars have been developed with two different sizes.
