Maxxis Workzone MU521 — Rear

MU521
The Maxxis Workzone MU521 is a purpose-built utility rear tyre engineered for work-focused UTVs and side-by-sides — and the wider rear companion to the MU511 front as original equipment on select Polaris Ranger models. Sharing the same proven Ceros-inspired tread design and robust 6-ply radial construction as the MU511, the MU521 steps up with a wider rear footprint to maximise traction, load-carrying stability, and drive performance at the back of the vehicle. Built for farm work, job sites, and back-country utility use, the MU521 is the rear tyre that keeps your working UTV moving forward confidently — whatever the conditions.

Features and Benefits

  • Polaris Ranger OEM fitment — rear position: Specifically engineered and approved as original equipment for select Polaris Ranger models in the rear position — making the MU521 the factory-correct rear tyre replacement for Ranger owners seeking like-for-like performance.
  • Wider rear footprint than the MU511 front: The MU521 is purposely designed wider than the MU511 front tyre, increasing the rear contact patch to maximise drive traction, rear stability, and load-carrying confidence — matching the wider rear axle dynamics of utility UTVs operating under heavy payload conditions.
  • Generous contact patch for heavy load stability: The enlarged rear footprint distributes vehicle and payload weight evenly across the tyre’s surface, maintaining stable, planted handling even when the UTV is fully loaded with tools, agricultural gear, or materials.
  • Ceros-inspired tread pattern for traction and tread life: The rear tread design draws on the proven Ceros tread architecture — delivering excellent drive traction on loose, hard-packed, and variable terrain while offering the outstanding tread wear durability that utility operators need from a rear drive tyre.
  • Tall blocks with large void areas for mud and debris clearance: Aggressive tall tread blocks paired with wide void spacing actively eject mud, debris, and rocks from the rear contact patch as the tyre rotates — maintaining drive traction in the wet and muddy conditions that working UTVs encounter daily.
  • Special silica compound for rugged terrain performance: A purpose-formulated silica-enhanced compound improves performance on rocky, hard, and uneven surfaces while resisting the cuts, chips, and stone retention damage that utility rear tyres regularly face in work and farm environments.
  • Deep 22/32″ tread depth: Generous tread depth sustains rear drive grip across the full service life of the tyre and reduces replacement frequency — a practical benefit for utility operators looking to maximise uptime and minimise running costs.
  • Reinforced 6-ply radial construction for strength and puncture resistance: The heavy-duty 6-ply radial casing maintains the tyre’s shape and structural integrity under the combined stresses of rear drive forces, heavy payloads, and rough terrain — delivering the durability that working UTVs demand.
  • Self-cleaning tread design: Wide void areas between tread blocks actively clear mud, snow, and stone debris from the footprint, preventing casing damage and maintaining consistent rear drive performance across all conditions.

In order for us to give you an accurate quote it is handy to have your tyre size to hand. The easiest way to find this is to look on the sidewall of your existing tyre, where you will see a combination of numbers and letters.

Width: (this is the first set of numbers) and represents the width of the tyre sidewall in Millimetres.

Profile: This is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width of the tyre

Rim: This is the diameter of the inner rim in inches

When looking for your tyre size note down the size of both the front and rear tyres as many cars have been developed with two different sizes.
